Description

The release of the PowerBook G4 at the end of January 2005 updated the entire PowerBook family.  There were now five configurations to choose from.  At the low-end were two 12.1” configurations.  Both had 1.5Ghz processors and 512Mb of RAM.  One had a Combo drive and a 60Gb hard drive, the other had a SuperDrive and an 80Gb hard drive.  At the midrange were two 15.2” configurations.  Both had 512Mb of RAM and an 80Gb hard drive.  One configuration ran at 1.5Ghz and had a Combo drive while the other ran at 1.67 and had a SuperDrive.  At the high-end of the line was a 17” configuration with 512Mb of RAM, a 100Gb hard drive and a SuperDrive.

History

This release updated the PowerBook line across the board with faster processors and other modest upgrades, but little in the way of new features.
